* D1 #1 Austin Prep took on D1 #3 Arlington on Monday in a battle of unbeatens and the Cougars were impressive in a 6-1 win, led by a Kathryn Karo hat trick and two goals from McKenzie Cerrato.
* Norwood continued its strong start, getting three goals from Morgan Roach and two from Jenna Naumann in a 9-1 conquest of Ursuline. Freshman Ava Hines also scored her first two varsity goals in the win.
* Belmont got goals from five different sources – Molly Dacey, Charlotte Wright, Sadie Taylor, Alex Townsend and Devin Kelleher – as the Marauders held off Waltham, 5-4, in non-league play.
* Mikayla Brightman figured in all six of Bishop Stang’s goals (3-3) as the Spartans cruised to a 6-0 win over East Bridgewater/West Bridgewater.
HPNA
* A well-balanced offensive attack powered HPNA to a 6-1 win over Westford Academy. Chase Nassar, Cassie Doherty, Kaitlyn Bush, Gabi Locke, Quinn Bennett and Ella Roe all lit the lamp in the win.
* Claire Hazard had a hat trick in Barnstable’s 8-0 shutout win over Marshfield.
* Colleen Quirk scored twice, including the game-winner, and Emma Tavilla had one as Natick returned to the win column with a 3-2 victory over Newton North in Bay State Conference action.
St. Mary’s
* Bishop Feehan had a strong performance on the road, as goals from Grace Nelson and Alivia Fitzgibbons gave the Shamrocks a 2-2 tie with St. Mary’s in the Catholic Central League. Gabbi Oakes had both goals for the Spartans.
Acton-Boxboro
* Acton-Boxboro won its fifth straight game, a 4-0 win over Billerica/Chelmsford. Allie Corrieri paced the offense with two goals and Clair Burkowski had 14 saves for the shutout.
* Shrewsbury got goals from Maddie Mrva, Kate Vona and Aislinn Bennett in a 3-1 win over Methuen/Tewksbury. Kaci Ryder chipped in with a pair of assists.
* Franklin slipped past Dedham, 2-1, thanks to goals from Julia Flynn and Shaw Downing.
* Goals from Molly Roach, Jenna Naumann and Caeli Reed were enough for Norwood to blank Canton, 3-0.
