There is no change at the top of this week’s HNIB News Massachusetts Girls Division 2 Top 10, the final rankings of 2019. #1 Wellesley (3-0-0) stays put, its only action this past week a 3-1 verdict of D1 Needham.

The Raiders swing back into action on Thursday when they host Walpole at the Wellesley Sports Center.

Canton and Westwood faced off on Sunday afternoon in the finals of the Pat Walsh Tournament, both coming in with perfect records. The Bulldogs won it, 3-2, to move up to #2 with a 6-0-0 overall record. Canton looks ahead to King Philip on Saturday.

With the loss, Westwood drops one spot to #3. The Wolverines (4-1-0) will battle Needham Tuesday and take on unbeaten Dedham on Saturday.

Matignon (3-2-0) climbs to #4 after a decent showing at the Michael Giordano Christmas Classic. The Warriors beat host Boston Latin, then fell to Braintree in the championship game, both D1 powers. Matignon will face another solid D1 program in Woburn Monday at the ML vs CCL Showcase (weather permitting) and then league foe Arlington Catholic Saturday.

Unbeaten Falmouth (3-0-0) is at #5. The Clippers downed Plymouth (3-2) this week and have a busy week with Beverly/Danvers (Monday), LaSalle (Thursday) and Bishop Feehan (Saturday) on tap.

Notre Dame Academy (1-2-1) slides a bit to #7. The Cougars were blanked by Natick (4-0) but rebounded to deadlock Duxbury (0-0), NDA looks to get its offense cranking this week against Milton (Tuesday) and Barnstable (Saturday).

#8 Winchester (3-2-0) came out on the short end of a 7-4 score with Rhode Island’s East Bay Co-op. Things won’t get any easier for the Sachems with Austin Prep on Monday. Then, Winchester will see undefeated Lexington (Tuesday) and Reading (Saturday).

After a one-week hiatus, #9 Natick (3-2-0) is back in, after a solid wins over Notre Dame (4-0) and Algonquin/Hudson (5-1) in Sunday’s first round of the Medway/Ashland New Year’s Invitational. The Redhawks will play in Monday’s finale
