Gary Demopoulos has been covering prep school hockey for the HNIB News for over 30 years, and has been the editor of the HNIB News since 2005. A former sportswriter and news editor at the Woburn (MA) Daily Times Chronicle, he has been the HNIB News' key reporter for Mens Prep School hockey since 1988, as well as womens hockey, both at the prep school and high school levels. for almost 20 years. Gary also helps organize and oversee HNIB's many summer tournaments and festivals for scholastic players.

The post-season magic continues for #10 Scituate, as the Sailors got a pair of goals from Jake McCarthy, and single tallies from Chris Sharry and Ben Smith for a 4-2 win over #2 Bishop Feehan. The Sailors will now face Canton in a semifinal matchup Tuesday at Gallo Arena (8 pm). Kevin Jezard and Sean Dunphy had the goals for Feehan, which ended 16-4-2.

Canton got 25 saves and a shutout from senior goalie Justin Slocum and goals from Jim Jenkins, Tommy Kilduff and Shaun Kirby (empty-netter) to eliminate North Attleboro, 3-0. The Red Rocketeers finish at 13-5-4.

D2 South top seed Medfield cruised to the semifinals with a 7-1 win over Plymouth South. Senior John McLean scored five goals to pace the Warriors attack.  Ted Scier and Jimmy Freeman also had goals for Medfield, who will face the winner of Sunday’s Pembroke-North Quincy game in a semifinal at Gallo Arena (Tuesday, 6pm).
