* No. 1 BC High fended off St John’s of Shrewsbury, 3-1, in a game that was tied until the final minute. Senior Matt Keohane (assist) and juniors Declan Joyce and Aidan Carey scored for the Eagles.

Ben Reynolds

* Sophomore Jon Groth scored two goals and freshman Jamie Brooks made 14 saves as Newburyport knocked off Pentucket, 5-0, in the Cape Ann League. Seniors Ben Reynolds, Declan Sullivan and Tyler Koglin also scored for the Clippers.

* Noah Wilson made 18 saves and Eric Wainwright scored two goals and assisted on another to steer Falmouth past Bridgewater-Raynham, 3-1.
