* In the biggest upset of the night, #28 seed Weymouth stunned #5 Archbishop Williams 2-0. Goalie Grady Salfity stopped 35 Bishops shots, and Ryan Ferguson and Brody Dearden each had a goal. The Wildcats move on to face Franklin in the Round of 16. ABW finished at 16-5-1 overall.

* #4 seed Xaverian jumped out early and never looked back, elimination Framingham, 9-1. A balanced scoring attack saw Ryan Bello and Joe Von Hardorf each contribute a goal and two assists. The Hawks will see Catholic Conference rival St John’s of Shrewsbury next.

* In a close battle, St. John’s (S) advanced as Luke Gerardi buried a rebound in overtime to give the Pioneers a 3-2 win over Central Catholic. Connor McKenna and Dom Reidy also scored. Brady Rickenbach had both goals for the Raiders, who end up at 7-14-2.

St John’s Prep

* Top seed St. John’s Prep advanced by downing Lincoln-Sudbury, 6-2. Senior Christian Rosa had a hat trick, Johnny Tighe scored twice, and Mason Luciano Luciano the other for the Eagles, who will now face Wellesley in a Round of 16 matchup Saturday (2:30pm at Essex Sports Center)

Arlington Catholic

* Arlington Catholic advanced to face defending champ Pope Francis, taking a 2-1 road win over Shrewsbury with goals from Nico Tashjian and Dante Cosco, and solid goaltending from Patrick Clair.

Stephen Faria Marshfield

* Two goals from Teddy Devoe, and one each by Stephen Faria and Tommy Carroll propelled Marshfield to 4-0 first round win over Needham. The Rams move on to face Reading on Saturday in the Round of 16.

* It took a little while for Reading to get going, but the Rockets and did and notched a 3-0 win over Bishop Feehan. Luca Picano had the only goal the Rockets would need, while Nate Mulvey and Cam Fahey also lit the lamp. Easton Therberge had 40 saves in goal for the Shamrocks, who close out with a record of 9-14-0.

* Catholic Memorial moved on with a 4-1 win over Natick. The Knights got goals from Jack McCourt, Nick D’Olympio, Cam Reed and Lincoln Hennessy. Tonight’s BC High-Andover winner is up next.

Danny Collins Winchester

* Danny Collins scored in overtime as Winchester edged past Waltham, 3-2. Chris McCarthy and Nolan Wrenn also scored for the Red & Black, who moved on to face Middlesex League Liberty rival Arlington for the third time this season (Saturday, 1pm at Ed Burns Arena).

* Arlington scored two quick goals en route to a 7-2 win over Wachusett Regional. Defenseman Evan Jones had a big game with a hat trick.
