The suddenly sizzling Spy Ponders (6-4-1) of the Liberty Division extended their winning streak to five games as they bounced the Freedom Division champion Spartans. Freshman Jack Sadowski buried the GWG in overtime. Junior Mathew Alesse had Arlington’s goal in regulation.

Belmont 2, Wakefield 1 (OT)
The Liberty Division runner-up Marauders (6-3-2) took down their Freedom Division foe on junior Matt Rowan’s goal with three seconds remaining in overtime. Ben Fici notched a shorthanded goal in regulation.
Arlington and Belmont meet in Thursday’s semifinal at noon at Ryan Arena. Arlington shut out Belmont twice last week, 5-0 and 4-0, in the midst of its current winning streak.

Burlington
Burlington 4, Woburn 1
Resurgent Freedom Division stalwart Burlington (5-4-1), 4-0-1 in its last five, stunned Liberty Division champion Woburn (7-3-1). Senior captain Jack Jay scored two goals for the Red Devils, who were anchored by senior goalie Nolan Kelleher’s 24-save effort. Stellar senior Jonathan Surrette tallied the Tanners’ goal.

Winchester
Winchester 5, Melrose 1
The Sachems advanced with a 5-1 takedown of Melrose. Alex O’Connor scored two goals while Angelo Mario, Mike Cashell and Joey Falso connected once each for Winchester.
Burlington and Winchester meet in Thursday’s semifinal at O’Brien Rink (3 p.m.). They did not play during the regular season.
CONSOLATION
Reading 3, Wilmington 1
The Rockets (4-3-2) got goals from senior captains Landyn Greatorex and Charlie Miele and another from sophomore Mark Boyle, the first of his varsity career.
* Watertown also won its consolation game, besting Lexington, 5-3.
