#6 Hanover is officially TD Garden bound after a 4-3 double overtime win over Stoneham team in an MIAA Boys Division 4 semifinal.

Sophomore Cam Melone scored two goals for the Hawks including the game-winner to send Hanover back to the TD Garden. The Hawks won the Division 3 state title in 2022, beating Marlboro.

The Hawks got off to a hot start scoring three times in the first period on goals by Melone, Henry Phillps and Joe Galvin.

Stoneham fired back though as they got on the board in the second period on a goal by Jack Sullivan. Sophomore Mike Taranto scored twice for the Spartans in the third to send the game into overtime.

One overtime wasn’t enough so the teams headed to a 3-on-3 double overtime where Melone stole the puck, went on a breakaway and scored to send the Hawks to the State Final.

Hanover will take on #5 Dover-Sherborn/ Weston in the Championship game Sunday at TD Garden at 11 am
