Petey Silverman Winthrop

* Petey Silverman’s six-point night (3G, 3A) propelled Winthrop past Tri-County 9-2. Philly Boncore scored twice and Mikey Holgersen had a goal and two assists. The Vikings face off with Hudson Saturday at 2 pm at Larsen Arena in the Round of 16.

* Freshman Timmy O’Malley’s overtime goal and second of the game sent Hudson past Dighton-Rehoboth 3-2. Jordan Sousa also scored for the Hawks.

* Ashland took down the #9 seed Medway 3-0 in goalie Shane Moriarty’s first shutout of the season. Alex Dinsdale, Dean Reap and Ryan Abcunas all scored for the Hawks. They will play the winner of the Thursday’s Martha’s Vineyard – Greenfield game.

* Dedham shut out Swampscott 4-0 behind goals from Tim Holton, Brian Dunne, Nick Moreno and Patrick Stamm. Noel Adams was outstanding in net. Next up, the Marauders will take on familiar face Dover-Sherborn/Weston Saturday at 6 pm at the Rivers School.

* Dover-Sherborn/Weston moves on to the Round of 16 after a 6-1 win over Latin Academy. Max Niit (2), Max Patenaude, Sam Hinckley, Brayden McKenna and Matthias Sarnbald all scored.

* Bourne earned a huge 4-2 over Abington with goals from Ty Kelley, Joziah DeSouza, James Crowell and Caleb Kean. The Canalmen will take on either Nantucket or John Paul II in the Round of 16.

* Stoneham doubled up Rockport 4-2 in a solid team effort. Joe Aronis, Connor Day, Sebastian Christo and R.Day all scored. Spartans get a familiar foe in Middlesex League opponent Wilmington in the next round.

* Wilmington earned a big 4-1 win over Fitchburg to move on to a big game against Stoneham in the Round of 16. Adam Ebert, Daniel Lagunilla, Ryan Archer and Bobby Cyr all lit the lamp for the Wildcats.

* Norwell grinded out a 3-1 win over Groton-Dunstable. Quinn Simmons (2) and Nolan Petrucelli scored for the Clippers who draw Lunenburg/Ayer-Shirley in the next round.

* It’s hard to beat a team three times, but Lunenburg proved it can be done, taking down Littleton/Bromfield 4-2. Andrew Nicosia scored twice for the Blue Knights who also got goals from Dom Benner and Ethan Dionne.

* Hanover blanked St. Bernards, 4-0. Henry Phillips, Connor Hines, Mehki Bryan and Cam Scott all scored. Junior Thomas Perkins earned the shutout in net. The Hawks will play either Old Rochester or Cohasset/Hull in the Round of 16.
