Sean McNamara Plymouth South

* Plymouth South pulled off one of the biggest upsets of the night defeating #8 seed King Philip, 4-3  Senior captain Sean McNamara led the attack with two goals and an assist. Logan Souza and Nick Kendall also scored and Eoin Fasullo was outstanding in net with 35 saves. They will play the winner of tonight’s Auburn vs. Amesbury game in the next round.

* Woburn moves on to the Round of 16 with a 5-1 win over Lowell Catholic. Matt Mahoney (2), Jack Lee, Avery Powers and Jack McEleney all scored. The Tanners next up play the winner of Thursday’s North Andover-Milton contest.

Colby Jewell Gloucester

* Colby Jewell’s hat trick propelled #12 Gloucester past #21 Walpole, 6-2. James Sanfilippo, Colby Warren and Brett Cunningham also scored. The Fishermen play Newburyport up next in the Round of 16.

* Caden Eiserman’s game-winning goal in the third period helped Newburyport sneak past a gritty Dartmouth team 2-1. Colby Arel also scored and Damien Lamb was solid in goal.

* Canton beat North Attleboro 6-1 with a balanced scoring attack. Freshman Ryan Elrick (2), Brian Middleton, Colin Blake, Cam Guershuney and Brendan Tourgee all scored. The Bulldogs will face Masconomet up next.

Alan Weitzman Masconomet

* Alan Weitzman’s overtime winner and second of the game gave Masco a thrilling 5-4 comeback win over Hopkinton. Brady Forde (2) and Miles Mireault also added goals for the Chieftains, who trailed at one point, 4-1.

* Steven Streeter’s double overtime goal sent #26 Malden Catholic past #7 Norwood 6-5 in a huge upset.

Jay Carter

* Concord-Carlisle defeated Mansfield 4-1 and will move on to the Round of 16 to play either Algonquin or Whitman-Hanson. The Patriots got goals from Jay Carter, Will Manchuso, Joe Grasso and Stoddard Healy.

Matt Carrara
Boston Latin

* Boston Latin blanked Westwood 4-0 behind goals by Matt Carrara, Aidan Fitzpatrick, Tyler O’Brien and Robert Banks. Oliver Murphy earned the shutout in goal. The Wolfpack next will take on Billerica Saturday night at 7 at Hallenborg.

* Billerica earned a hard fought 4-1 win over Westfield to move on to the Round of 16. Cameron Penti, Tim Murphy, Shawn Tierney and Anthony Parrella all scored.
