* Winthrop cruised to the Elite 8 with a 6-1 win over Hudson. Senior captain Petey Silverman led the way with a goal and three assists. Philly Boncore scored twice and Mikey Holgersen, Colin O’Leary and Jay Fotiades each added single tallies. The Vikings will play the winner of Sunday’s matchup between Ashland and Martha’s Vineyard in the quarterfinals.

Chris Cardillo

* Tied 3-3 in the third period, Sandwich scored three times to win 6-3 over Gardner in the Round of 16. Ty Creighton and Chris Cardillo each scored a pair of goals for the Blue Knights. Avery Richardson and Jack Connolly also scored. #4 Sandwich will take on #5 Dover-Sherborn/Weston in the Elite 8.

Andrew Goldstein

* After losing to Dedham twice in the regular season, Dover-Sherborn/Weston got their revenge on Saturday, beating the Marauders 4-1 to advance to the Elite 8. Sam Hinckley, Andrew Marden, Max Niit and Max Patenaude all scored. Andrew Goldstein had 14 saves in goal.

* Norwell blanked Lunenburg/Ayer-Shirley in impressive fashion 3-0. Matt Cerruti, Aedan Coyle and Quinn Simmons all scored and Will Devaney earned the shutout in goal. The Clippers will face Hanover in the Elite 8.

#6 Hanover advances on with a 4-1 win over Old Rochester. Myles Joyce, Mekhi Bryan, Chris Doherty and Henry Phillips each scored for the Hawks. Thomas Perkins was solid in net and the Hawks will look to get revenge on Norwell, a team they fell to 3-2 earlier in the season.
