Mass. Boys HS Hockey – Division 2 Top 10: Tewksbury, Canton Continue To Set The Pace; Duxbury Remains Solid

Tewksbury remains in the top spot in the HNIB News Masschusetts Boys Division 2 Top 10 with another big win this week over D1 Winchester 3-0. The Redmen close out the regular season Wednesday against Wilmington.

#2 Canton had an impressive week beating Bishop Feehan 5-3 and avenging an earlier season loss to Franklin, beating the Panthers 2-1 in OT. The Bulldogs finish the regular season Tuesday against Boston Latin.

#3 Duxbury started the week with two wins over Boston Latin and Archbishop Williams. The Dragons moved on to the Semi-Finals of the Buddy Ferreira Classic but lost to BC High 2-1.

Walpole stays in the #4 spot despite an (0-1-1) week. The Timberwolves lost to Braintree 6-4 and tied with King Philip 3-3 in the first Round of the Songin Cup.

After a heartbreaking 4-3 loss to Medfield in OT, #5 Hopkinton rebounded in a big way winning the Farleigh S. Dickinson Tournament with wins over Lynnfield and Martha’s Vineyard.

Norwood moves down one spot to #6. The Mustangs closed out the regular season with a 4-2 win over Westwood and a 6-3 loss to Milton.

#7 Silver Lake had a strong showing this week. The Lakers beat #10 Plymouth South 2-1 in a tough battle and also beat Bridgewater-Raynham 7-2.

Somerset Berkley re-joins the rankings at #8 this week. The Raiders have been on fire winning their last five straight games. They look to finish out the season strong against Taunton and Bourne.

#9 is newcomer Marblehead who has been sneakily on the radar for weeks now. The Headers are 13-4-4 and have one final game of the week against Triton.

Rounding out our top 10 is Plymouth South who had a tough end to the regular season with three straight losses, but look to turn it around in the postseason.
