A former sportswriter and news editor at the Woburn (MA) Daily Times Chronicle, he has been the HNIB News' key reporter for Mens Prep School hockey since 1988, as well as womens hockey, both at the prep school and high school levels. for almost 20 years. * Boston Latin avenged an earlier season loss to Concord Carlisle beating the Patriots in overtime, 4-3. Matt Carrara had the game-winner and Aidan Fitzpatrick added a hat trick for the Wolfpack in the big win.

* Norwood blanked Holliston 9-0 with nine different goal-scorers in a complete team effort. Andrew Gillis, Sam Lally, Nick Berardinelli, Anthony Riccardi and Jacob Sheehan all added a goal and an assist for the Mustangs.

Alan Weitzman Masconomet

* Senior captain Ben Merrill’s hat trick helped lead Masconomet to an 8-5 win over Peabody. Jack Fabiano, Evan Collins, Miles Mireault, Jon Miga and Alan Weitzman also scored for the Chieftains.

Matt Venturi Amesbury

* Make it seven in a row for Amesbury which took down North Reading 7-2. Bodie Marcotte scored a pair and Matt Venturi had a goal and four assists. Thomas McElaney, Joey Duggan, Maddox LeBlanc and Lincoln Kime all scored single tallies.

Danny Viscione Billerica

* Billerica earned their biggest win of the season with a 6-4 comeback win over a solid Shrewsbury squad. Junior Danny Viscione led the attack with a hat trick. The Indians also got goals from Tim Murphy, James Columbus and Nolan Dawson.

Jack McEleney Woburn

* Woburn defeated Medford 9-4 in a balanced attack. Jack McEleney (3), Finn Murphy, Jack Lee, Luke Hughes, Hayden LaPrade and Avery Powers and Matt Mahoney all lit the lamp for the Tanners.

Jackson Devivo Newburyport

* Newburyport keeps it rolling with a 6-2 win over Pentucket in Cape Ann League play. Jackson DeVivo (2), Luke MacIssac, Mason Childs, Owen Kreuz and Finn McNeil all scored for the Clippers.

Dylan Fitzpatrick North Andover

* A big third period helped give North Andover a 5-1 win over Acton-Boxboro. Dylan Fitzpatrick led the way with two goals and an assist. The Knights also got goals from Trey Sheehy, Brady Tremblay and Colin Howard.  Junior Ryan Kmiec had 27 saves in goal.

Sean Hallissey Plymouth North

* Plymouth North took care of business against Silver Lake shutting them out 6-0. Sean Hallissey, Aidan Mackenzie, Sam Whiting, Owen Kelly, Max Santos and Logan Greeley all scored for the Eagles. Kaden Bono was solid in net earning the shutout.

Connor Merkle Hopkinton

* Connor Merkle’s two goals gave Hopkinton a 2-0 shutout win over Westwood. Steven Jackson earned the shutout in net.

Andrew Livingstone Oliver Ames

* Lowell Catholic earned a 2-0 win over Greater Lowell/Nashoba Tech. Matthew Lumia and Danny Parent both scored and junior Sam DeChaves was terrific between the pipes.

* Oliver Ames defeated Lexington 4-2 in non-league action. Andrew Livingstone (2), Jack Corey and Matt Lawson all scored.
