Aidan Brazel

– Hingham had a highly productive weekend. The Harbormen took down Pope Francis, 3-1, on Saturday behind goals from Aidan Brazel, Chase McKenna and Connor Walsh. Then on Sunday, in a Burns Classic semifinal, Hingham blitzed Wellesley, 7-0 as Brazel had a hat trick and Billy Jacobus scored twice.

– Seven different skaters – Joey DiMartino, Jack Silva, Braden O’Hara, Will Irving, Sean Steck, Tommy Dunn and Jake Curley – each had a goal and Gavin Moynihan contrbuted three assists in Xaverian’s 7-0 win over St John’s (S).

Zach Micciche had a first period goal, and Evan Pennucci scored in period two and Reading survived a stressful final minute two-men short to post a 2-1 win over Franklin in an Ed Burns Classic Brinn Division semifinal. Dylan Marchand had the lone goal for the Panthers.

Will McLean had a hat trick and added two assists for good measure as Burlington doubled up Walpole 6-3.

Nick Fasano Braintree

– Braintree’s Nolan Leonard also had a hat trick in a 6-0 blanking of Winchester. The Wamps also had goals from Nick Fasano, Larry Graziano and Jack Woods.

Will Doherty scored twice, including the game-winner with just over two minutes left in regulation, to give Marshfield a 3-2 win over previously unbeaten Tewksbury. Nick O’Brien had the Rams’ other goal.

Jeremy Auren‘s overtime goal capped a furious comback and gave Framingham an exciting, 6-5, win over Weymouth. PJ Farese and Brendan Peck each registered two goals in the Flyers’ win.

Pope Francis

– Pope Francis got back on track, as Josh Ibey‘s hat trick led a 5-0 whitewashing of Smithfield (RI). Ryan O’Leary and Derek Rhodes each had a goal as well.

Ben McGilvray had the game-winning strike late in the second period and St. John’s Prep held on for a 2-1 win over BC High. Jake Vana also had a goal for SJP

– Down 4-2 with the final seconds counting down, Wellesley got two goals in eight seconds from Robbie Marshall to pull out a 4-4 tie with Weymouth.

Evan England Catholic Memorial

Brendan MacNeil scored in the third period, and Evan England converted in overtime as Catholic Memorial slipped past Malden Catholic, 2-1. John Jenkins scored for the Lancers.

Shay Donahue Belmont

– Andover blanked Billerica in the MVC/Dual County 1 with two goals from Joe Bucci and singletons from Tyler Lareau, Kevin DeMichaelis and Tyler Walles.

– Belmont salvaged a 1-1 tie with Reading in Middlesex League Liberty play. Shay Donahue scored for the Marauders first, and that goal was countered by Laz Giardina of the Rockets.
