A former sportswriter and news editor at the Woburn (MA) Daily Times Chronicle, he has been the HNIB News' key reporter for Mens Prep School hockey since 1988, as well as womens hockey, both at the prep school and high school levels. for almost 20 years. * Sophomore Nick D’Olympio‘s goal with 23 seconds left in overtime gave Catholic Memorial a 2-1 win over #1 St. John’s Prep, snapping the Eagles 12-game winning streak. Cam Shanahan Burlington

* Burlington picked up a signature win, edging Winchester, 2-1 in the Middlesex League. Jackson Powers and Charlie Andriolo each scored in the win. It was also a milestone night for junior goalie Cam Shanahan, who registered his 1,000th career save in the win.

* Andover slipped past Shrewsbury, 1-0. A third period goal from Marcel Joe was the only scoring in this one. Sophomore netminder Vinnie D’Urso was solid for the Golden Warriors.

* Evan Hyman made 21 saves for his first varsity win as Natick downed Brookline, 4-1. James Schnair, Parker Boyce, Ben Vose and Will Fair each had a goal in the win.

Jesse Peck

* Xaverian got back on the winning trail with a 3-1 win over St. John’s (S). The Hawks got goals from Colvin Callahan, Jesse Peck and Ben Kramer.

* Sophomore Chase Field scored two goals to lead Barnstable to a 6-2 non-league win over St. John Paul. Dan Garlington, Doug Carr, Ian DeVito and Owen Jones each had a goal in the win.

* Senior captain Brendan McNeil had a hat trick, and Ryan Eldridge and Chris Morrison scored as well as Bishop Feehan picked up a 5-1 Catholic Central League win over Bishop Fenwick.

* Nick Burns fired home two goals, and Ryan Nelken and Ethan Koehr each had one as Westford Academy downed Lincoln-Sudbury, 4-1.
