Newburyport 2, Lynnfield 0

Senior captain and league co-MVP Owen Spence’s SHG with 22 seconds left in the second period stood as the game-winner as the Clippers (9-1-1) shut out the Pioneers for the third time this season. Senior captain Ryan Archer added an ENG to seal it.

Triton 2, North Reading 1

Senior Aidan Lowry’s PPG with 11 seconds remaining in overtime, pushed the Vikings (9-1-1) into the title game. Trevor Quigley gave Triton a 1-0 lead in the second period but the pesky Hornets tied it with less than two minutes left in regulation.

Friday’s championship game is set for 4 p.m. at Graf Rink. The long-time rivals were 1-1-1 in three meetings this season.
