The Windjammers captured the Class B North regional title Wednesday at Alfond Arena in Orono defeating the Broncos, 5-2.
Camden Hills jumped out to a 2-0 lead in the first period when Owen McManus and Emmet Marshall scored 88 seconds apart.
The Broncos dug out of the deficit on a 5-on-3 power play. Keith Brooks put Hampden on the board to cut the deficit to 2-1. When the power play was 5-on-4, Cameron Henderson found the back of the net.
Neither team scored in the middle period.
The Windjammers had another two-goal spurt to start the third period. Rory Carlson scored just 24 seconds into the period, and before the first minute of the third period could be completed, Elias Libby stretched Camden Hills’ lead to 4-2.
Aiden Aselton scored at the 2:37 mark of the third period to give the Windjammers a 5-2 lead.
Camden Hills will take on Brunswick, the South Division champion Saturday for the Class B state championship at the Cross Insurance Arena at 1 p.m.
