No. 1 Edward Little is still the top team in Class A this week, despite dropping its first game Saturday, losing to South Portland/Waynflete/Freeport, 6-1. The Red Eddies also defeated Thornton Academy 3-2 on Thursday. They face Windham/Westbrook/Bonny Eagle/Sacopee Valley on Wednesday and rival Lewiston on Saturday.

No. 2 Bangor defeated Biddeford/Massabesic/Old Orchard 4-1 on Tuesday and earned a 2-1 win over Class B power Old Town/Orono on Saturday. Bangor travels to Lewiston on Wednesday and hosts Falmouth on Saturday.

No. 3 South Portland/Freeport/Waynflete started the week losing to Portland/Deering 3-1 on Thursday before the win against EL on Saturday. The Red Riots host No. 4 Thornton Academy on Thursday and travel to Scarborough on Saturday.

Thornton Academy bounced back from its loss to Edward Little with a 5-2 win over rival Biddeford/Massabesic/Old Orchard Beach on Saturday. The Golden Trojans travel to Fryeburg/Lake Region/Oxford Hills on Monday before the showdown against the Red Riots.

No. 5 Scarborough lost to Falmouth 7-3 on Thursday before defeating Lewiston 4-2 on Saturday. The Red Storm has the Red Riots on Saturday in its only game of the week.

No. 6 Fryeburg/Lake Region/Oxford Hills lost to Poland/Leavitt/Oak Hill/Gray-New Gloucester 4-3 in its only game of the week on Saturday. After hosting Thornton, the Ice Cats host Marshwood/Traip/Sanford/Noble on Saturday,

No. 7 Lewiston defeated Biddeford/Massabesic/Old Orchard Beach on Thursday 9-4 before losing at home Saturday against Scarborough. They host Messalonskee on Monday before the games against Bangor and rival Edward Little.
