Freshman Ethan Brochu had himself a night. The forward scored his first career goal en route to a natural hat trick as the Red Eddies defeated the Kings 5-1. Will Cassidy and Keegan Moon each had a goal. Brady Corson scored in the second half for the Kings. Gage Ducharme made 15 saves for Edward Little while Vincent Lupardo stopped 31 shots for the Kings.
Lewiston 8, St. Dom’s 0
Sophomore Tanner Anctil scores two goals and sets up two others and freshmen Cody Dionne has two goals and an assist for Blue Devils in a 8-0 win over the Saints. Nick Pelletier had a goal and an assist while Mason Beaudoin, Ethan Blue and Connor Wolverton scored a goal each. Keegan McLaughlin made eight saves for the shutout. Matthew Gosselin made 23 saves in the first half for the Saints while Nathan Jones stopped eight shots in the second half. The game was called with 13:17 remaining in the second half as a plexiglass glass pane was shattered by a skate blade and the arena staff said it would take an hour to replace. At that point the game was called.
The Capers and the Red Riots skated to a 3-3 tie as Nick Laughlin scored twice for the Capers and Cullen Adams had a goal and an assist for the Red Riots. Alex Thayer also scored for Cape Elizabeth. Ian Wright and Owen Anderson also scored for the Red Riots. Charlie Garvin made 22 saves for the Capers and Jasper Curtis made 23 saves for South Portland/Freeport/Waynflete.
Greely 3, Brunswick 1
Evan Dutil scored twice as the Rangers scored all three goals in the second half in a come from behind victory over the Dragons. Gage Cooney recorded the game-winner for Greely. Tom Labbe gave Brunswick a 1-0 lead in the first half with Nick Marro picking up the assist. Spencer Osgood made nine saves in the win while Spencer Marquis stopped 31 shots in the loss for Brunswick.
Marshwood/Traip/Sanford/Noble 5, York 2
Caden Fontaine paced Marshwood/Traip/Sanford/Noble with two goals in the 5-2 victory over York. Eli Chilicki also had two points for the KnightHawks as he had a goal and an assist. JJ Reeve and Mikey Doran also scored in the win. Aidan Martin and Tyler Conant potted first half goals for the Wildcats. Sumner Wood stopped 22 shots in the win while Troy Nelson made 33 saves on 38 shots in the loss.
