Portland/Deering 2, Bangor 1

Portland/Deering only trailed for 23 seconds in its win. After Andrew Dorr opened the scoring for Bangor with 31 seconds remaining in the first period, Max Cheever scored with eight seconds left in the frame for Portland/Deering. Cheever then assisted on Whitefield Steele’s game-winning goal with 2:38 remaining in the game. Ryan Becker made 22 saves for Portland/Deering while Jake Hirsch made 29 saves for Bangor.

Lewiston 3, Falmouth 1

Ryan Pomerleau scored two special teams goals in the first period to lift the Blue Devils over the Yachtsmen. Pomerleau had a shorthanded goal and a power play goal with Ben St. Laurent notching an assist on each goal. Kurtis Pelletier added the insurance marker late in the third period. Owen Drummey scored a shorthanded tally for Falmouth in the third period.

St. Dom’s 2, Edward Little 0

Jaden Webster scored both goals as the Saints shut out the Red Eddies. His first goal came 34 seconds into the contest and scoring with 5:36 remaining in the game to fortify St. Dom’s lead with Miles Frenette picking up the assist. Alex Roy stopped all 18 shots he faced for the Saints and Gage Ducharme made 19 saves for EL.

Thornton Academy 4, Lake Region/Oxford Hills/Fryeburg Academy 1

Eli Pendergrass had a goal and dished out three assists in the Golden Trojans’ victory. Sterling Wirsing had a pair of goals for Thornton while Alex St. John also lit the lamp.

Lewiston 6, St. Dom’s 0

Brock Bergeron notched a hat trick as the Blue Devils rolled past rival St. Dom’s. He also had an assist. Ryan Pomerleau had a goal and an assist while Ben St. Laurent and Damon Bossie also found the back of the net. Logan Tripp, Kurtis Pelletier and Michael Belleau each had two assists. Keegan McLaughlin made 14 saves for the shutout while Alex Roy turned aside 21 shots for St. Dom’s.

Class A/B

Jonah Bird
Gorham

Gorham 5, Marshwood/Traip/Sanford/Noble 0

Jasper Crane only needed to make eight saves to record a shutout over Marshwood/Traip/Sanford/Noble. Cole Perreault and Jonah Bird found the back of the net twice for the Rams while Liam Ross also had a goal. Austin Ledger made 29 saves for the Knighthawks in the loss.

Cape Elizabeth 5, Portland/Deering 4

William Gordon had a goal and assists while Gavin Simopoulos had a goal and an assist to lead the Capers to the victory over the Bulldogs. Andrew Carroll, Jonas Moon and Matthew Laughlin also found the back of the net for Cape Elizabeth. Whitefield Steele had two goals and an assist for Portland/Deering while Dante Tocci also had two goals. William Depke made 20 saves for the Capers while Ryan Becker and Neal McQuarrie combined to make 20 saves for Portland/Deering.

Class B

Cony/Hall-Dale/Monmouth 3, Maranacook/Winthrop/Madison/Spruce Mountain/Lawrence 0

Matty Shea made 17 saves for the Rams in the shutout. Zach Whitney opened the scoring for the Rams early in the second period while Ayden Clark scored midway through the period. Tyrell Souza scored in the third period. Collin Osborne notched two assists. Thomas Thornton made 22 saves for the Hawks in the losing effort.

Cooper Leland
Hampden Academy

Hampden Academy 4, Brewer 2

Cooper Leland had a goal and two assists to lift the Broncos past the Witches. Owen Cross had two goals for Hampden Academy and Khaleb Hale had a goal and an assist. Liam Spaulding had a goal and an assist for Brewer and Brandon Severance also had a goal. Cooper Ryan made 20 saves for Hampden Academy while Tyler St. Lawrence made 30 saves in the loss.

Orono/Orono 4, Greely 2

Tyler McCannell paced the Black Bears with two goals and an assist as Old Town/Orono won the rematch of last year’s Class B title game. Tanner Evans had a goal and two assists for the Black Bears while Gabe Talon had a goal. Evan Dutil scored both goals for the Rangers. Aidan Rand made 25 saves in the win over the Black Bears while Jared Swisher made 19 saves for Greely.
