Lewiston 3, St. Dom’s 2
With a five-minute minute power play, Kurtis Pelletier broke the 2-2 deadlock in the final minute as Lewiston defeated rival St. Dom’s 3-2. Zach Pelletier gave St. Dom’s a 1-0 lead before Ridge Field tied it up for Lewiston. Caden Smith gave the Blue Devils a 2-1 lead before Michael Cilly tied the game up for the Saints in the third period. Jacob Smith made 14 saves for the victory.
Scarborough 3, Edward Little 0
Caleb Sellinger made 30 saves as Scarborough shutout the Edward Little Red Eddies, 3-0. Jack Matthews scored the game winner while Jacob Brown made it 2-0 and Cam Budway capped the scoring off. Gavin Toussaint made 14 saves for the Red Eddies before being relieved by Devon D’Auteuil who stopped two of the three shots he faced.
Lewiston 4, Thornton Academy 3
The Lewiston Blue Devils jumped out with four goals in the opening period and held onto a 4-3 victory over Thornton Academy. Blueliner Sam Laroche had a goal and two assists for Lewiston. Ryan Pomerleau, Drew St. Hilaire and Kurtis Pelletier also scored. Thomas Levasseur sparked the Golden Trojans comeback as he scored their first two goals. Alex St. John put Thornton within one. Jacob Smith made 18 saves for Lewiston while his counterpart Seth Dube stopped 36 in the loss.
Mt. Ararat/Lisbon/Morse/Hyde 6, Cony/Hall-Dale/Monmouth 4
Noah Austin had four goals to lead the Mt. Ararat/Lisbon/Morse/Hyde to a 6-4 victory over Cony/Hall-Dale/Monmouth. Ian Struck and Ian Cooke each had a goal. Joe Arps, Michael Boivin, Colin Osborne and Zach Whitney scored for the Rams. Cade Charron made 31 saves for the victory while Matty Shea stop 18 shots in the loss.
Massabesic/Bonny Eagle/Old Orchard Beach 4, South Portland/Freeport/Waynflete 1
Brandon Caron had a pair of goals to lift Massabesic/Bonny Eagle/Old Orchard Beach to a 4-1 victory over South Portland/Waynflete/Freeport. Jared Harris and Chris Westgate each had a tally. Westgate opened the scoring in the game while Harris’ goal came in the third period. Gus Lappin was South Portland/Waynflete/Freeport’s goal scorer.
Biddeford 6, Cheverus 0
Trevor Ouellette had a pair of goals and three assists as Biddeford defeated Cheverus 6-0 in a rematch of last season’s Class A South regional final. Nick McSorley had two goals and two assists while Colin Petit and Nick Reissfelder each had a goal and two assists for the Tigers. Justin Larnerd made 25 saves for the shutout.
Waterville/Winslow 5, Brewer 4
Cody Ivey, Nate Newgard, and Cooper Hart had a goal and an assist as Waterville/Winslow defeated Brewer in a back-and-forth 5-4 contest. Brandon Mason and Zach Menoudarakos also scored for the River Hawks. Trey Baker had two goals and an assist to lead the Witches. Nick Vinson and Kevin Moreau also scored for Brewer. Ben Grenier made 15 saves for the River Hawks while Tyler St. Lawrence made 29 saves.
Greely 6, Yarmouth 1
Caleb Duff and Jackson Williams had two goals to lead the Greely Rangers to a 6-1 victory over Yarmouth. Andy Moore had a goal and two assists while Dawson Jowett also had a goal. Jared Swisher made 15 saves while Charles Henry Watson made 27 saves in the losing effort.
Cape Elizabeth 10, Kennebunk/Wells 1
Four Capers had nine of Cape Elizabeth’s ten goals in a 10-1 victory over Kennebunk/Wells. Andrew Carroll had a hat trick and two assists. Gavin Simopoulos, Matthew Laughlin and Jack Pellechia each had two goals. Simopoulos added three assists and Laughlin had a pair of helpers. Jack Roy-Becker also scored. Garrett Mello and Otto Cooks-Sharp split time in goal as they combined to make 14 saves. Dean Church scored for the Rams.
Gardiner 5, Mt. Ararat/Lisbon/Morse/Hyde 4
Gardiner struck quickly in the overtime session as Jared Shaw gave the Tigers a 5-4 victory just 11 seconds in. Tanner Hiebert had three points as had a goal and two assists while A.J. Chadwick had a goal and assist. Ian Struck had a hat trick for the Eagles in the loss while Hunter Merryman had a goal.
York 8, Marshwood/Noble/Traip 1
Andrew Bertolini had two goals and added two helpers as York defeated Marshwood/Noble/Traip 8-1. Dalton McCann chipped in with a goal and four assists for the Wildcats while Jake Nelson had a goal and two assists and Joe Neal had a goal and an assist. Jeffrey Ouellette, Marshall Ford and Max Pickett each had a goal. Dominic Carlson and Ben Soared combined to make 14 saves in the win. Henry Honkonen scored for Marshwood/Noble/Traip.
