Austin Roy scored a hat trick to pace the Saints to victory against crosstown rival Edward Little. Reese Farrell had the other Saints goal. Cody Woodward scored the lone Red Eddies’ goal. Kyle Welsh made 15 saves in the victory while Devin Dumont made 20 stops in the losing cause.
Windham/Westbrook 2, Lake Region/Fryeburg Academy/Oxford Hills 0
Tyler Johnson and Keegan Pock each scored in Windham/Westbrook’s victory. Logan Heckman assisted on Johnson’s goal and Gage Chenard had the helper on Pock’s goal. Alex LeBlanc had 31 saves for the shutout while Trent Spaulding made 29 saves for the Ice Cats.
Windham/Westbrook 2, Cony/Monmouth/Hall-Dale 1
Zack Callahan had a goal and an assist to lead Windham/Westbrook. Derek Corbett had the other goal while Tyler Johnson had two assists. Riley Boivin cut into Windham/Westbrook’s lead in the third period for the Rams’ only goal. Alex LeBlanc made 34 saves while Tom Small stopped 14 shots.
Mt. Ararat/Lisbon/Morse 6, Poland/Gray-New Gloucester/Oak Hill 1
The Eagles scored five times in the third period to skate away from the 26ers. Tyler Lacascio had a pair of goals and a pair of assists to lead the Eagles. Mark Abreu also had a pair of goals while Noah Austin had a goal and two assists and Ryley Austin had a goal. Deryk Belanger notched the 26ers lone goal. Cade Charron only needed to make 11 saves for the victory while Kenny Humphrey stopped 25 shots for the 26ers.
Scarborough 3, Biddeford 2
The Red Storm had goals from three different players in the 3-2 victory over Biddeford. The Red Storm jumped out to the 3-0 lead with goals from Matt Caron, Skylar Pettingill and Cam Nigro who had the eventual game-winner. Zackery Thompson had both goals for the Tigers.
Lewiston 3, St. Dom’s 2
Freshman Sam Frechette scored twice to lead the Blue Devils to victory over archrival St. Dominic. Hick Bisson had the eventual game-winning goal just before the buzzer at the end of the second period. Gavin Bates had a goal and assist for the Saints while Noah Toussaint had the other Saints goal. Jacob Strout made 20 saves for the win while Kyle Welsh made 25 saves for St. Dom’s.
Yarmouth 6, Leavitt 1
The Clippers were led by Patrick Grant who had three points, as he had two goals and an assist in the victory over Leavitt. Cooper May set up four goals and had a goal himself. Walter Conrad chipped in a goal and two helpers while Noah Grondin and Joe Truesdale also scored. Drake Goupil scored the only goal for the Hornets.
Kennebunk 4, Cape Elizabeth 2
After a scoreless first period, the Rams scored three times in the second period en route to the 4-2 victory over the Cape Elizabeth Capers. Donovan Connor notched two goals while Kyle Beaupre had a goal and two assists to lead the Rams. William O’Neil also scored as he opened the scoring in the game. Carter Brock and Gavin Spidle collected the Capers’ goals. Spencer Desrochers stopped 20 shots for Kennebunk.
Brunswick 6, Kennebunk 3
The lead changed three times in the second period before Brunswick pulled away in the third. Nate Granholm had two goals for Brunswick while Jacob Doring had a goal and an assist. Jared Hummer, Matt Deveaux and Corey Taker-Laberge also scored. Bo Beveridge and James Ross had a goal and assist for the Rams while Camden Connor also scored. Riley Kirk made 21 saves for the win while Spencer Derochers made 20 stops in the loss.
Lewiston 5, Waterville 1
The Blue Devils handed the Purple Panthers their first loss of the season. Jeromey Rancourt, Alex Robert and Cody Doyon each had a goal and an assist in the victory. Alex Rivet and Kyle Morin also scored in the victory. Michael Oliveira scored the lone Purple Panthers goal. Jacob Strout made 12 saves in the victory while Nathan Pinnette turned aside 23 shots in the loss.
