Maine Class B Poll: #1 Old Town/Orono closing in on a perfect season

No. 1 Old Town/Orono remains on top of the HNIB Maine Class B Poll with a 12-2 win over Messalonskee on Wednesday. They have Houlton/Hodgdon/Southern Aroostook/Katahdin this Friday.

No. 2 Cape Elizabeth moves up with a 9-1 win over South Portland/Waynflete/Freeport on Thursday and skated to a 1-1 tie with Yarmouth.

No. 3 Greely slides after dropping a 3-2 decision to Gorham on Wednesday before defeating Biddeford 6-2 on Saturday. They travel to Maranacook/Winthrop/Madison on Tuesday and Gardiner on Saturday.

No. 4 Hampden Academy stays steady with a 3-1 victory over Waterville/Winslow on Wednesday. They face Brewer this Wednesday and travel up to Presque Isle on Saturday

No. 5 York moves up after a big 4-2 victory over Falmouth on Monday. They followed up by defeating Gardiner 2-1 on Saturday. They visit Marshwood/Traip/Sanford on Wednesday and to Brunswick on Friday.

No. 6 Presque Isle scored a 3-2 overtime win over John Bapst on Monday then defeated Messalonskee 10-2 on Saturday. They host Hampden on Saturday.

No. 7 Waterville/Winslow bounced back from the loss to Hampden with a 3-2 win over Brewer Saturday. They host Gardiner on Wednesday.

No. 8 Yarmouth defeated Brunswick 5-1 on Friday before skating to a 1-1 tie with Cape Elizabeth the following evening. They travel to Edward Little on Wednesday, Kennebunk/Wells on Thursday and host Camden Hills on Saturday.

No. 9 Camden Hills enters the ranking with a 3-1 win over Houlton/Hodgdon/Southern Aroostook/Katahdin on Saturday. They host John Bapst on Wednesday before traveling down to Yarmouth on Saturday.

No. 10 Gorham climbs into the poll with a 3-2 win over Greely on Wednesday and a win over Poland/Gray New-Gloucester/Oak Hill/Leavitt on Saturday. They have Massabesic/Bonny Eagle/Old Orchard on Saturday.
