The No. 1 Lewiston Blue Devils had the week off from regular season games. They took part in the St. Dom’s Christmas Classic. They return to action on Tuesday against Edward Little and Cheverus on Saturday. Both of those games will be at the friendly confines of the Androscoggin Bank Colisee.
The No. 2 Bangor Rams return to action on Thursday against Mt. Ararat/Lisbon/Morse/Hyde, nearly a two-week break since their last regular season contest. They face rival Brewer on Saturday at Alfond Arena in Orono.
No. 3 Biddeford move up two spots with a big win over Class B South power Cape Elizabeth on Saturday. They face rival Thornton Academy on Monday while seeing another B South power Greely on Thursday. The Tigers also travel to St. Dom’s on Saturday.
No. 4 Scarborough won their lone game of the week with a 1-0 win over Massabesic/Bonny Eagle/Old Orchard on Thursday. They travel to St. Dom’s on Wednesday and host Kennebunk/Wells on Saturday.
St. Dom’s move up to the fifth spot winning its lone regular season game against cross town rival Edward Little 5-1. They took home their Christmas Classic as they defeated St. Thomas Aquinas (New Hampshire) in the championship game. They host Biddeford and Scarborough this week.
No. 6 Edward Little’s loss to St. Dom’s was their lone countable contest of the week as they took part in the holiday tournament. They face Lewiston in the New Year’s Day clash. They also travel to Gorham Saturday.
Falmouth moves up to No. 7 with a 6-1 victory over South Portland/Freeport/Waynflete on Saturday. They have their annual New Year’s Day contest vs. Greely and host Yarmouth on Saturday. For No. 8 South Portland/Freeport/Waynflete they travel to Portland/Deering Thursday and host Windham/Westbrook on Saturday.
No. 9 Portland/Deering lost to Cheverus on Saturday 3-2. In addition to facing South Portland/Freeport/Waynflete they face Massabesic/Bonny Eagle/Old Orchard on Saturday.
No. 10 Mt. Ararat/Lisbon/Morse/Hyde lost a high scoring affair on Thursday as Cony/Hall-Dale/Monmouth defeated them 7-6. They only have the game against Bangor this week.
