The Bangor Rams have had a big week. They knocked off Scarborough, which had been  Hockey Night In Boston’s Maine Class A poll’s Number One team, Saturday night 8-3. Last Monday, they defeated Falmouth 5-3 after losing to the Yachtsmen a few days earlier. In between the those two games, they defeated Poland-Gray New Gloucester 10-1 on Thursday.

This week they host Cony/Monmouth on Tuesday and have a neutral site game at Alfond Arena at the the University of Maine against rival Brewer on Thursday. They end the week by traveling down to Thornton Academy on Saturday.

The Scarborough Red Storm survived a late comeback by Cheverus on Thursday. The two teams meet again  Tuesday and Scarborough also hosts Biddeford this week.

Falmouth held off both Biddeford and Thornton Academy this week after the loss to Bangor. They have the entire week to prepare for Lewiston on Saturday.

Lewiston had the week off and will travel to Lawrence/Skowhegan on Monday.

Lawrence/Skowhegan has quietly gone about their business this year and are in the running to host a quarterfinal game. They picked up a big win against Cony/Monmouth Saturday winning 6-5 in overtime. After Monday’s game against Lewiston they travel to Auburn to face Poland-Gray New Gloucester.

The two teams they are trying to catch to host a playoff game are Brunswick and St. Dominic Academy. Brunswick had the week off and they face St. Dom’s on Wednesday and host Cony/Monmouth on Saturday.

The Saints picked up victories over Thornton Academy and Poland-Gray New Gloucester this past week. In addition to their game against Brunswick they face Edward Little on Saturday.

Edward Little doubled up Cony/Monmouth 6-3 and earned a 4-0 win over Mt. Ararat/Lisbon this week. They also have Poland-Gray New Gloucester this week.

Biddeford picked up a victory against Cheverus 5-3 on Saturday and the two teams meet again on Thursday before Biddeford meets Scarborough on Saturday.

Noble/Wells had no problem defeating Fryeburg Academy/Oxford Hills 9-1 on Thursday, but dropped a game to Portland/Deering 3-1 on Saturday. They have Kennebunk on Thursday and a rematch with Portland/Deering.
