Kramer’s Hat Trick Lifts B.C. High past St. John’s (S), 6-2

Merrimack College-bound senior forward Pat Kramer notched a hat trick, Christian Simeone contributed four assists and goalie Brandon Payzant had 16 saves as undefeated B.C. High topped St. John’s of Shrewsbury, 6-2, at Beacons Ice Arena Monday.

Following a scoreless first period, B.C. High raced out to a 3-0 lead  on goals by Ian Murphy (2 assists), Jack Nisbet (2 assists) and Kramer before Jared Ward put SJS on the board.

Kramer tallied twice in the final period, completing his hat trick with 2:21 to play. Tim Larocque (assist) also scored in the period while Billy Zegras notched the St. John’s goal to account for the final. Matt Mongeau had 32 saves for St. John’s, which slipped to 1-3-0. B.C. High is now 3-0.

B.C. High faces St. John’s Prep in the semifinal round of The Peter Frates Winter Classic Saturday at Merrimack College (7). St. John’s of Shrewsbury meets Catholic Memorial in the semifinal round of The Silverback Classic Saturday at Loring Arena (5:10).
