By virtue of its 4-3 win over Nobles to win the Flood Marr Tournament,, pre-season #1 Salisbury (9-0-1) retained its hold on the top spot of the HNIB News Top 15 Boys Prep Poll. The Crimson Knights are still undefeated heading into the Christmas break.

The only blemish on Salisbury’s record was a 2-2 standoff with Kent (7-1-1), which moves up to the poll’s #2 spot. The Lions were very impressive over the weekend, sweeping to the title at the Avon Old Farms Tournament, outscoring opponents 19-4, including a 6-2 win over St. Paul’s in the title game.

Despite falling from the ranks of the unbeaten, Kimball Union (8-1-2) moves up to the #3 spot, its only loss a 4-2 setback to Salisbury at the Flood Marr Tournament. KUA will be in action this week at the Belmont Hill/Nichols Tournament.

Fueled by an impressive win over Dexter at the Lawrence/Groton Tournament, Cushing gets the #4 spot with an overall record of 9-2-0. The Penguins are getting set to host their Watkins Tournament January 1-3 which will boast several of the prep’s top clubs.

Rounding out the Top Five is Nobles, which has been very impressive in the early going, bouncing back from a subpar 2012-2013 season..
