Girls Prep Top 15: Tabor-Milton Battle Kicks Off Week Of Key Games

The top six ranked teams combined did not lose any games over the past week, so they all remain in place in the latests HNIB News Girls Prep Top 15.

#1 Williston (16-0-0) made it 16 in a row with a convincing win over Hotchkiss. The Wildcats play just once this week as well, scheduled to face Taft Wednesday.

Wins over Cushing (7-1), BB&N (3-0) and Deerfield (4-0) push #2 Phillips Andover to an indentical 16-0-0 mark. A huge test for the Big Blue comes Wednesday when they host #5 Tabor (10-3-0).

#3 Nobles (15-3-1) downed Lawrence Academy (5-2) and then held off #7 St. Paul’s (10-8-0) and look ahead to St. George’s (Wednesday), Cushing (Friday) and Brooks (Saturday).

#4 Kent‘s (12-3-0) ony result was a 3-0 win over Taft. The Lions face Choate Monday.

It is a big week for Tabor. Prior to the Seawolves showdown with Andover, they face #6 Milton Academy (10-3-1) Monday in another big game. St. Mark’s is on the docket for Saturday. The Mustangs face Lawrence Academy (Wednesday) and BB&N (Friday).

St. Paul’s fought Nobles to the end in that 1-0 loss. New Hampton is next on Friday.

#8 New Hampton (13-5-0) is up one spot. After a loss to Winchendon, the Huskies posted wins over Vermong Academy and St. Mark’s. NH has four games scheduled for this week, scheduled to face Tilton (Monday), Cushing (Wednesday), St. Paul’s (Friday) and Andover (Saturday).

#9 Dexter Southfield (10-4-2) decisioned Brooks 6-1 and gets #10 Phillips Exeter (8-3-0) on Wednesday. Exeter was very productive this past week with wins over Tilton (8-0), Rivers (1-0) and Loomis Chaffee (2-1).

Groton (13-2-1) sneaks up to #11 after a pair of wins over Governors Academy (3-0) and Holderness (5-2). Rivers us up next on Monday, followed by Middlesex Wednesday and Northfield Saturday.

#12 Cushing (12-8-1) will look to turn things around this week against a pair of tough opponents in New Hampton (Wednesday) and Nobles (Friday).

  1. Dexter Southfield at 9??? With convincing wins over both St. Pauls (in their barn) and Milton and narrow 1-0 losses to #1 Williston and #2 Andover, as Joe Biden would say, “C’mon Man!” Trump chimes in with “Fake News!!”
