Girls Prep Hockey Highlights: Brooks Downs Thayer; Big Offensive Days For Westminster, Williston

* Brooks got a pair of goals from Carly Stefanini and single markers from Quin Healy, Brooke Rogers and Molly Driscoll in a 5-2 win over Thayer. Maddie McCaffery and Claire Kennedy had goals for Thayer.

Lilly Branka

* Taylor Girouard had a hat trick and Jamie Babineau scored as well as Lawrence Academy doubled up Milton Academy, 4-2.

* Rivers got past Berwick, 4-1, with the benefit of two goals from Rylie Glennon and once each from Jenna McDonald and Lilly Branka.

* Two goals from Katie Pyne were key as #1 Nobles got past stubborn St. George’s, 4-2. Ellie Bayard and Emmy O’Leary also scored for the ‘Dawgs.

Laura Labarre
St. Mark’s

* Megan Rittenhouse and Amelia Molin both registered hat tricks in Westminster’s 7-1 win over Pomfret.

* Williston used a pair of goals each from Bryn Saarela and Teaghan Hall in a 6-2 victory over Taft. Kate McDermott and Sophia Jones each had a goal as well.

* Laura Labarre had the game-winner as St. Mark’s rallied for a 3-2 win over Worcester Academy. Also scoring for the Lions were Madison Michals and Lilly Armstrong.

* Deerfield edged Winchendon, 2-1, with goals from Ellia Chang and Hailey Sundstrom.

*  Kimball Union got two-goal performances from Kyra Russman, Abby Flanagan and Lucie Turcotte in a 7-1 Lakes Region win over Brewster Academy.

* #2 Tabor slipped past #8 Philips Andover, 3-2, in overtime. Meanwhile, #6 BB&N was upset by Governor’s Academy, 3-2.

A former sportswriter and news editor at the Woburn (MA) Daily Times Chronicle, he has been the HNIB News' key reporter for Mens Prep School hockey since 1988, as well as womens hockey, both at the prep school and high school levels. for almost 20 years.
