There was very little action over the past few weeks in Girls Division I prep circles, so this latest HNIB News Top 10 poll is virtually the same as the previous poll. Action will begin to heat up this week, however.

#2 St. Paul’s (9-0-0) returns to action at historic Fenway Park on Wednesday, taking on Governor’s Academy. Coach Heather Farrell’s club then hosts Brooks (1/9) and Andover (1/11).

#3 Choate‘s (6-0-2) first game back from break will be a battle with #4 Westminster (5-3-0). The Wild Boars host Taft this Saturday, while the Martlets will be at Northfield.

#5 Tabor (6-1-1) gets a homestand to begin 2014, as the Seawolves welcome BB&N (1/8), Southfield (1/10) and Brewster Academy (1/11).

A team to watch could be #6 Pomfret (4-2-1). The Griffins are at Taft (1/8), then have a two-game weekend hosting Lawrence Academy (1/10) and taking on New Hampton (1/12) at Northeastern University.

#7 Kent (4-1-1) has been a surprise team and the Lions will see what they are made off this week, as they are at Berkshire today, then at Loomis Chaffee (1/8). Kents host Lawrenceville (1/11) in a non-league tussle.

#8 Williston (7-2-2) was one team in action, participating, and taking home the championship, at the Exeter Invitational this past weekend. A key test looms against Berkshire (1/8), and another with Gunnery (1/11).

BB&N (5-3-1) could move up from the #9 spot with a big win Wednesday at Tabor. The Knights then travel to New Hampton (1/10).
