Girls Prep Highlights: Andover Ties Up Williston

*  Andover ended Williston’s eight-game winning streak skating to a 2-2 tie.  Kylie Quinlan and Lily Feeney each had a goal for the Big Blue. Kate Holmes and Kate McDermott countered for the Wildcats.

* D1 #1 Tabor rallied for two third period goals to tie up #5 St. Pauls, 2-2. Maeve Kelleher and Skyler Irving scored for Tabor. Paige Galle and Phoebe Day had staked St. Paul’s to an early 2-0 lead.

* D1 #4 Loomis Chaffee clinched the Founders League title with a 5-1 win over Choate. Abby Kuhns scored two goals for the Pelicans. Jessica Schryver, Avery Flynn and Jenna Donohue each added a goal.

Julia Kibrick
Winchendon

* Winchendon got an overtime goal from Julia Kibrick to slip past Hebron, 3-2. Kaylen Taddia and Kiley Robles also scored for the Wapiti.

* Three goals from Kristyna Kaltounkova and one each from Klara Jandusikova Sophie Streed and Danielle McCarthy  in a 6-2 win over Hoosac.

* In a big Division 2 battle, top-ranked Brooks got a pair of goals from Carly Stefanini and one from Mia LaPlante in a 3-1 win over #3 St. George’s.

Berwick

* New Hampton picked up a big 3-0 win over Phillips Exeter to stay in the playoff hunt. The Huskies got goals from Lauren DeBlois, Taze Thompson and Erin Matthews.

* Caroline Skillman and Mary Edmonds each scored a pair of goals to power Deerfield to a 5-1 win over Berkshire. Brianna Felice added the fifth Deerfield goal.

* Goals from Andrea Caradonna, Tiffany Foster, Lindsay Goodman, Charlotte Wensley and Alex Kingsland led D2 #5 Berwick to a 5-0 shutout win over Portsmouth Abbey.

Gary Demopoulos has been covering prep school hockey for the HNIB News for over 30 years, and has been the editor of the HNIB News since 2005. A former sportswriter and news editor at the Woburn (MA) Daily Times Chronicle, he has been the HNIB News' key reporter for Mens Prep School hockey since 1988, as well as womens hockey, both at the prep school and high school levels. for almost 20 years. Gary also helps organize and oversee HNIB's many summer tournaments and festivals for scholastic players.
