This week’s top four teams stayed firm in their spots in the HNIB News Girls D2 Prep Top 10, each winning both of its games this past week. The rest of the teams? Not so much.

#1 Brooks (10-1-2) downed Tilton (4-1) and Proctor (7-0). The Bishop now must get ready for #4 Worcester Academy on Wednesday. Dexter Southfield is Saturday’s opponent.

#2 St. George’s (8-2-2) had wins over Portsmouth Abbey (6-0) and Governors Academy (2-1). The Dragons have a good test Wednesday with D1 St. Mark’s.

#3 Rivers (8-3-1) had book-end 5-2 wins over Groton and D1 BB&N. Thayer (Wednesday) and Exeter (Friday) will challenge the Red Wings this week.

Worcester had an impressive week with convincing shutouts over Pomfret (5-0) and NYA (7-0). After Brooks, the Hilltoppers have Millbrook (Saturday).

Kimball Union (7-4-1) is the new #5. The Wildcats had wins over Vermont Academy (4-2) and Brewster Academy (7-1) sandwiched around a 2-0 loss to St. Paul’s. The Wildcat have a return engagement with Holderness on Wednesday, then have Governors (Friday) and Hebron (Saturday).

Holderness (8-6-0) is solid at #6. The Bulls are coming off an impressive 3-1 win over Exeter. They also face Groton on Saturday.

Rounding out this week’s rankings are #7 Berwick (11-6-1), #8 Greenwich Academy (5-5-1), #9 Tilton (6-5-1) and #10 Thayer (7-6-0)
