It was another impressive week for undefeated and #1 Vermont Academy (15-0-0). The Wildcats had wins over Gunnery (4-2), Pingree (9-1) and Millbrook (4-2) to keep on rolling. Three more games are on tap this week against Kimball Union (Wednesday), Brewster Academy (Friday) and Groton (Saturday).

#2 Worcester Academy (9-2-1) also had an impressive week with a tie with Philips Exeter (1-1) and wins over Groton (8-3) and Portsmouth Abbey (8-3).  The Hilltoppers look ahead to Pomfret (Friday) and North Yarmouth Academy (Saturday).

It is not often a team can lose three straight games but maintain its #3 ranking, but so is the case with Brooks (5-3-3). The Bishop had their gauntlet of three straight games against ranked D1 teams. They didn’t win, but showed well in losses to Andover, Tabor and Lawrence Academy. Its back to D2 this week with Tilton (Wednesday) and Proctor (Saturday).

After a loss to Nobles, #4 Rivers (7-3-0) blanked both St. George’s (1-0 in OT) and Winchendon (4-0). The Redwings have BB&N (Wednesday), Groton (Friday) and Brewster Academy (Saturday) this week.

#5 Gunnery (4-4-0) had a mixed week with the loss to Vermont Academy and a win over Hoosac. The Highlanders look to swing back into things this week with games against Hotchkiss (Monday), Canterbury (Wednesday) and Lawrenceville (Saturday).

St. George’s (5-4-0) climbs to #6, following the tough Rivers loss with a 2-1 win over Dexter Southfield. The Dragons are at Governors Academy this Saturday.

Proctor (7-5-1) holds at #7, a loss to Winchendon (3-0) its only action of the week. The Hornets get ready for Groton Wednesday before seeing Brooks.

#8 Canterbury (11-3-1) drops a bit following Friday’s loss to new #10 Greenwich Academy. The Saints also shaded Millbrook (4-3 in OT).  After taking on Gunnery, Canterbury has Albany Academy (Saturday) and Hill School (Sunday).

#9 Kimball Union (6-3-2) fell by a goal to a solid Stanstead College team and rebouned with a 4-1 conquest of Holderness. After taking on #1 Vermont, the Wildcats travel to St. Paul’s (Friday) and Hebron (Saturday).

Keep an eye on Greenwich Academy (7-4-0) as the Gators move into the poll. They host Millbrook on Saturday.
