The Girls Prep Division II playoff pairing are out and, as expected Rivers (17-8-1), the #1 team in the HNIB News rankings for most of the season, gets the top seed. The Red Wings drew the top seed even though they lost their first D2 game this past Friday, falling to Southfield, 2-0.

Rivers closed the regular season with a 6-2 win over Tilton.

Playoff-bound Canterbury (13-6-1) jumps up to #2 in this final poll thanks to an impressive 4-0 win over Worcester Academy on Saturday. The Saints also bested Gunnery and enter the post-season on a high note.

Southfield (11-6-2) moves up to #3 with the win over Rivers, while Worcester Academy (16-6-3) drops to #4 in the poll.

#5 Berwick (22-2-3) won the EIL playoff title after falling to Exeter (5-3) and the Bulldogs will look for some playoff success. Proctor (15-7-2) ends the regular season with a nice win over D1 Northfield (3-0).

#7 Hebron (17-9-0) finished strong with a win over Kents Hill, but unfortunately for the Lumberjacks, they did not qualify for the post-season tournament.

Two-time defending New England champ Gunnery (7-10-1) lost 3-2 games to Kent and Canterbury in the final week, but the Highlanders had enough to garner the post-season’s eighth and final seed.
