Nobles
In this the end-of-the-regular season HNIB News Girls Prep poll, the top four teams held serve.
Kent (19-0-1) finished an undefeated regular season with wins over Gunnery (3-2) and Westminster (6-2), the latter which may have dealt a blow to the playoff chances of the defending champion Martlets.
Williston kept pace with wins over Deerfield (7-1), Winchendon (4-1) and BB&N (2-1) to finish a school best 19-0-4.
#3 Nobles (24-2-2) hasn’t lost since a 1-0 defeat to Williston back in late December. Be sure the ‘Dawgs will be a tough out in the post-season.
#4 Tabor (18-4-1) finished the regular season on a 13-0-1 run and come into the playoffs with all cylinders churning. The Seawolves had a huge 2-1 win over Pomfret on Friday.
#6 Choate (15-6-3) is hoping to get a post-season bid and a strong final week will only help. The Wild Boars had wins over Hotchkiss and Cushing.
Could a late-season push by Phillips Andover (17-6-3) be enough to get the Big Blue into the post-season? We will know later today. The 3-1 win over Westminster on February 25th could be a crucial victory.
