Girls Prep D1 Top 10
An impressive start of the season has vaulted Tabor (8-0-1) to the top spot in this the first in-season HNIB News Girls D1 Top 10. The Seawolves took home the hardward at the recent Patsy Odden Tournaament, and followed that up with a solid 4-0 win over a good Hill School team. Tabor is off until January 9th when they take on Brooks, the current #1 team in Division 2.
Nobles (7-0-2) drops a spot to #2. The Dawgs had a win over Williston at the Harrington Tournament, and a tie with St. Paul’s in the title game (won by the Pelicans in a shootout). Nobles will travel to new D1 opponent Southfield on January 2nd.
The solid showing against Nobles helped move St. Paul’s (8-1-1) up to #3. SPS will host Mid-Atlantic heavies Lawrenceville and Hill the first weekend in January.
#4 Kent (7-1-0) won its first seven games before falling to Tabor in the final at the Patsy Odden Tournament. The Lions will be a team to watch as 2019 unfolds.
Rounding out the top five is Williston (6-1-0). The Wildcats only loss was a one-goal setback to Nobles at the Harrington Tournament. They will travel to the Winchendon Tournament starting on New Year’s Day.
