In a week with a lot of movement – eight teams changed places – we’ve given No. 1 LaSalle the nod in our final regular-season poll for Rhode Island.

The team earned it by nipping Mt. St. Charles, 3-2, and dumping Massachusetts’ defending Division 1 champion Franklin, 4-1, reversing a 5-1 December loss to the Panthers.

No. 2 Hendricken had a real solid final week, beating Cumberland, 8-0, and Mt. St. Charles, 5-0.

No. 3 Smithfield closed out its regular season with an 8-2 win over Cranston.

No. 4 Mount St. Charles had a tough final week falling to LaSalle, 3-2, and Bishop Hendricken, 5-0.

No. 5 Rogers/Middletown/Rocky Hill won two of three this week, twice beating Ponaganset, 4-3 and 3-2, and falling to North Kingstown, 4-0.

No. 6 Barrington blanked East Greenwich, 9-0, to finish up its regular season.

No. 7 Toll Gate beat North Smithfield, 1-0, and Portsmouth, 5-4.

No. 8 PCD/St. Raphael/Wheeler blanked East Providence/Lincoln, 2-0, and 6-3 over South Kingstown, 6-3.

No. 9 Ponaganset slipped a little down the stretch. It was nipped by RMR twice, 4-3 and 3-2, and topped East Greenwich, 7-0.

No. 10 Portsmouth dropped a 5-4 decision to Toll Gate and nipped North Smithfield, 1-0.
