Maine Class B Top 10
No. 1 Greely remains on top in Maine Class B as the Rangers defeated Cape Elizabeth 6-2 on Monday. As the top seed in Class B South, Greely earns a bye into the regional semis on either Feb. 28-29 and will face the winner of Gorham-Brunswick.
No. 2 Cheverus moves up with a 3-1 win over Yarmouth and a 6-3 victory over Windham/Westbrook/Bonny Eagle. They will host York in the Cass B South quarterfinals.
No. 3 Hampden Academy falls a spot with a 1-1 tie with Messalonskee. The Broncos are the No. 1 team in Class B North and will host Waterville/Winslow in the regional quarterfinals.
Camden Hills moves to the No. 5 spot with a 2-0 win over John Bapst/MDI/Bangor Christian. The Windjammers are the third seed in Class B North and will take on Messalonskee in the first round.
No. 6 Presque Isle falls with the loss to Orono/Old Town. The Wildcats enter the B North playoffs as the No. 4 seed and will host Gardiner.
No. 7 Gardiner wrapped up the regular season with a 5-0 win over Houlton/Hodgdon/Southern Aroostook. The Tigers travel to take on the Wildcats of Presque Isle in the opener of the Class B North playoffs.
Messalonskee is the No. 8 team after the tie against Hampden. The Eagles hit the road for the first round as they take on Camden Hills.
No. 9 Brunswick remains in place as they tied Gorham 2-2 and defeated York 8-2 in the final week of the regular season. The Dragons travel to face Gorham in the first round of the Class B South playoffs in the 4v5 matchup.
Yarmouth rounds out the top 10 as the Clippers defeated Poland/Leavitt/Oak Hill/Gray-New Gloucester 4-1 on Wednesday. They enter the Class B South playoffs as the No. 3 seed and will host No. 6 Cape Elizabeth.
