No.1 Lewiston capped the first undefeated regular season in Class A hockey since the 2007-08 Biddeford Tigers with a 4-0 victory over Thornton Academy. The Blue Devils earned a bye into the state quarterfinals as they await the prelim winner of Bangor/Falmouth on Feb. 28-29.

St. Dom’s remains the No. 2 team with a 5-2 victory over Bangor on Wednesday. The Saints also earn a bye into the quarterfinals as they await the prelim winner of Biddeford/Old Orchard Beach/Massabesic-Edward Little on Feb. 28-29.

No. 3 Scarborough took care of Bangor on Monday with a 4-1 victory. They have earned a bye into the quarters and will get the prelim winner of Portland/Deering- Lake Region/Fryeburg/Oxford Hills on Feb. 28-29.

No. 4 South Portland/Waynflete/Freeport is the final team to get a bye into the quarters and will play the survivor of the Thornton Academy, Windham/Westbrook/Bonny Eagle and Marshwood/Traip/Sanford/Noble grouping on Feb. 28-29. The Red Riots defeated Falmouth 4-3 on Tuesday.

Thornton falls No. 5 with the 4-0 loss to Lewiston and will be the No. 5 seed in the playoffs as well and host a prelim game. The Golden Trojans will host the winner of the play-in game between Windham/Westbrook/Bonny Eagle and Marshwood/Traip/Sanford/Noble on Tuesday at 7:35 p.m.

No. 6 Edward Little remains in place with a seven-game winning streak after a 2-1 win over Falmouth. They host Biddeford/Old Orchard Beach/Massabesic in a prelim game on Tuesday at 7:30 p.m..

No. 7 Portland/Deering rounds out the poll with a pair of 2-1 victories over Biddeford/Massabesic/Old Orchard and Lake Region/Fryeburg/Oxford Hills this past week. The Bulldogs host the Ice Cats of Lake Region/Fryeburg/Oxford Hills in the No. 6-No.11 game in the opening round.
