The Girls D2 Prep pairing are out and quarterfinal action will get underway on Wednesday.

Semifinal games will be held Saturday, March 4th with the New England championship game slated for Sunday, March 5th at 12:30pm at Phillips Andover.

Worcester Academy, ranked #2 in this week’s HNIB News Girls D2 Prep poll, drew the top seed and will host eighth-seeded Brooks in a contest at NESC in Marlboro. Brooks finished the regular season on a 4-1-2 run to grab the final seed.

#3 Rivers (13-6-7), is seeded second and hosts defending New England champion St. George’s (10-9-2), which got in the post-season tournament with the seventh seed.

#4 Canterbury (17-7-4) is the third seed and the Saints host Gunnery in a quarterfinal game. Canterbury just beat Gunnery 2-1 this past weekend.

The HNIB News #1 team – Kimball Union (16-6-2), was given the fourth seed and hosts fifth-seeded Thayer Academy.
