For No. 1 St. Thomas Aquinas (19-2-0) of Dover, the goal was set following 2018’s OT title game loss to Keene. Mission accomplished at SNHU on March 9 when the Saints outlasted intra-city rival Dover, 5-3, for the program’s first-ever title. A stacked senior group departs but coach Wayne Sheehan will welcome back a talented core for 2019-20.

Ditto for No. 2 Dover (17-4-0). The Green Wave also lose nine players to graduation but coach Mike Young will return a solid group with experience under big-game pressure. The Green Wave rarely rebuilds; they simply re-load.

After losing heavily from 2018’s title team, defending champion No. 3 Keene (11-7-1) did well to claw its way back to the semifinals, falling in a rematch with STA.

No. 4 Merrimack (10-8-2) registered the tournament’s biggest upset when it bounced Goffstown in the quarterfinals, 3-0.

No. 5 Goffstown (14-4-1) closed the regular season on a nine-game winning streak.
