It was yet another year in Girls Prep Division 1 hockey where post-season seedings really don’t matter. When you are talking the final eight teams, any one of them is capable of beating any other.

That holds true for Kent (19-4-0). The fifth-seed entering the post-season, the Lions took down St. Paul’s, Loomis Chaffee and Nobles in succession to win their first New England championship. Thus, Kent goes to #1 in the end-of-the-season HNIB News Girls D1 Prep Top 10.

Nobles (26-1-5), which came that one final game from having an undefeated, championship season, ends at #2.

#3 Loomis Chaffee (15-6-4) entered the post-season as the eighth and final seed and promptly beat top-seed Williston (22-2-2), which ends the season at #4.
