No. 1 Hanover continued to prove its merit at the top with another strong week. The Indians beat Pembroke and Plymouth South by scores of 4-2.

No. 2 Hopkinton crushed Holliston, 8-3, and Bellingham, 11-2. The Hillers have scored 73 goals and allowed only 19.

No. 3 Old Rochester/Fairhaven blanked Wareham/Carver in its only contest. A big matchup looms with Hanover February 18.

No. 4 Swampscott dropped its first game since Dec. 19 when it fell this past week to Gloucester, 5-3. It bounced back with a 9-1 win over Revere as Louis Olivieri got point No. 100.

No. 5 Rockland had a big win over D2’s Coyle-Cassidy, but fell to Norwell, 2-1. It split the season series with the Clippers.

No. 6 Latin Academy had an easy time with O’Bryant in a 9-0 win. Things get tougher with a matchup with East Boston and Northeast Regional in its next two games.

Speaking of No. 7 East Boston, the Jets had a good week. They beat Everett, 5-2, and shut out Weston, 4-0.

Another team that swept its week was No. 8 Southeastern/West Bridgewater, which easily beat South Shore Vo-Tech, 7-0, and Blue Hills, 9-2.

No. 9 Nantucket remained unbeaten with a 5-2 win over Upper Cape Tech and a 7-1 decision over Tri-County.

No. 10 Norwell has won six straight and deserves an entrance back into our poll. The Clippers are not as dominating as the last two seasons but have put together a solid 9-4-2 mark. Its last two victories came against Cohasset and Rockland.
