Doug Bonjour joined Hockey Night in Boston in November 2022. He has covered high school and college sports in Connecticut for more than a decade, including stints as the UConn women’s basketball and UConn football beat reporter for Hearst Connecticut Media. During his time reporting on the 11-time national champion Huskies, he covered three NCAA Final Fours. He previously was a general assignment reporter for GameTimeCT and the Connecticut Post, and covered high school sports statewide, including boys hockey. Prior to that he was the managing/sports editor for the Westport News and Norwalk Citizen community weekly newspapers. He also has written for the Associated Press and New York Times. He graduated from Hofstra University in 2008 with a degree in print journalism.

State champions for the first time since 2011, Cheshire is worthy of #1 in the final HNIB News Connecticut Division II Top 8 poll.

State final run was sweet validation for #2 East Haven Co-op.

#3 Amity has a lot to feel good about after making state semifinals. #4 Woodstock Academy showed well as a first-year independent.

Overtime loss in state quarterfinals spells end of another strong season for #5 Westhill/Stamford Co-op. #6 North Branford took down the defending champs in opening round of states.

Getting East Haven in first round was tough break for #7 West Haven Co-op.

State playoff win was first since 2019 for #8 Guilford
