Doug Bonjour joined Hockey Night in Boston in November 2022. He has covered high school and college sports in Connecticut for more than a decade, including stints as the UConn women’s basketball and UConn football beat reporter for Hearst Connecticut Media. During his time reporting on the 11-time national champion Huskies, he covered three NCAA Final Fours. He previously was a general assignment reporter for GameTimeCT and the Connecticut Post, and covered high school sports statewide, including boys hockey. Prior to that he was the managing/sports editor for the Westport News and Norwalk Citizen community weekly newspapers. He also has written for the Associated Press and New York Times. He graduated from Hofstra University in 2008 with a degree in print journalism.

Conard stays at #2 after downing rival Hall 7-4.

#3 Enfield/EG/Stafford’s only blemish is a shutout loss to Newington. The same goes for #4 New Milford.

#5 Staples lost this week to D2 South Windsor. Then again, who didn’t?

#6 BBD must be relieved to be back home after dropping both its games in Maine over the holiday week.

Despite dropping two of its last three, Hall stays at #7 in the top-heavy Division III.

#8 Masuk suffered its first loss of the season, 7-6 to Branford in a wide-open affair.
