Doug Bonjour joined Hockey Night in Boston in November 2022. He has covered high school and college sports in Connecticut for more than a decade, including stints as the UConn women’s basketball and UConn football beat reporter for Hearst Connecticut Media. During his time reporting on the 11-time national champion Huskies, he covered three NCAA Final Fours. He previously was a general assignment reporter for GameTimeCT and the Connecticut Post, and covered high school sports statewide, including boys hockey. Prior to that he was the managing/sports editor for the Westport News and Norwalk Citizen community weekly newspapers. He also has written for the Associated Press and New York Times. He graduated from Hofstra University in 2008 with a degree in print journalism.

It’s status quo for Notre Dame-West Haven, the (still) No. 1 team in the latest HNIB News Connecticut Division I Top 8. 

Following a quiet week for #2 Fairfield Warde/Ludlowe, the FCIAC playoffs await. 

#3 Fairfield Prep will square off again with the top-ranked Green Knights in the SCC Division I final.

#4 Darien remains the class of the FCIAC. 

#5 New Canaan looked true to form in its FCIAC preliminary game, routing St. Joseph 8-0. 

#6 Northwest Catholic made a statement, beating Simsbury. Next up: ND-West Haven. 

Will #7 Simsbury get another crack at NW Catholic in the postseason? We shall see.

#8 Xavier is 0-4-1 over its last five games.
