Notre Dame-West Haven or Darien? Darien or Notre Dame-West Haven? We’ll stick with the Knights at #1 in this week’s HNIB News Connecticut Division 1 Top 8 for at least another week.

Darien (4-0-0) shut out Greenwich, and will stay at #2.

New Canaan (2-1-0) — idle this past week — moves up to #3.

#4 Xavier (4-0-1) has scored 18 goals its last three games.

Next up for #5 Fairfield Prep (5-2-0)? A date with top-ranked Notre Dame-West Haven at Bennett Rink.

Fairfield Co-op (5-0-0), up a spot to #6, looked mighty impressive winning the Mount St. Charles Holiday Classic and will need to be watched.

#7 Simsbury (3-1-0) took care of Northwest Catholic, 8-4

Speaking of Northwest Catholic (3-2-1), the Lions are back in the rankings at #8 after shutting out Ridgefield.
