North Haven maintained its top spot in the Hockey Night in Boston Connecticut Division 2 rankings, but the rest of the order this week got a shuffle.
The Nighthawks’ win over Wethersfield was a big part of it, but the Eagles also dropped a matchup against Farmington Valley to fall to No. 3.
Speaking of Farmington Valley, the Generals rose to No. 2 thanks to that win, as well as another statement performance Tuesday against Lyman Hall, dropping the Trojans to No. 4.
Sheehan is the new No. 5, and red-hot South Windsor jumps to No. 6 ahead of No. 7 Westhill-Stamford, which went 2-2 in the busy week.
Trumbull remains the No. 8 team.
Before the official CIAC pairings are unveiled Friday, there is the SCC/SWC D2 semifinals Thursday at Bennet Rink. Top seed Lyman Hall meets No. 4 Daniel Hand (5:30), followed by No. 2 North Haven and No. 3 Sheehan (7:30). The championship game is Saturday at 4 p.m.
Wethersfield also hosts Simsbury in a CCC semifinal game Wednesday.
