Goals by Chris Kral and Justin Blanchette early in the second period gave Fairfield Prep a two-goal lead on the way to a 4-2 win over Xavier. The Falcons twice cut the Jesuits’ lead to one, on goals by John Sadak and Cam Pollock, but twice Fairfield Prep restored the two-goal cushion on goals by Skyler Celotto and Brennan Henry. Jack McGee made 32 saves as Xavier outshot the Jesuits, 34-22.

The Jesuits followed up with a 6-3 win over Hamden, scoring the last three goals after the Green Dragons tied it on Jake Blackwell’s second of the day. Chris Kral’s second goal broke the tie with 8:22 left. Will Schlichtig and Joey Mancini added goals later in the period. Steve Turner made 40 saves for Hamden; Chris Ligas made 19 for the Jesuits.

Mike Antoniou scored twice in Notre Dame-Fairfield’s 4-2 win over Glastonbury. Tyler English and Matt Russo had a goal and an assist apiece for the Lancers.

Anthony Ceolin scored twice and T.J. Koss added one in Northwest Catholic’s 3-1 win over Simsbury. The Trojans had scored first, Jake Magaw’s goal in the first period, but the Lions came back with the last three.

Owen Collins broke a 3-3 tie early in the third period, and Darien held on to beat New Canaan 4-3. Ben Brown scored twice for the Blue Wave; Tyler Hill scored two goals for New Canaan.

Division Two

Brian McKee had two goals and an assist, and John Lovelace’s 25 saves carried North Branford past North Haven 5-1. McKee and Adam Burkle scored in the first, and Dom Raccio and McKee doubled that lead in the second. Jason St. Peter scored the lone North Haven goal before Mike Pantera finished the scoring.

Mid-Atlantic-Festival-Ad-300x250Dan Ostrowski’s first goal came in the last minute, lifting South Windsor to a 2-1 win over Glastonbury. Jack McCluskey tied the game for the Bobcats in the third period after Glastonbury took a second-period lead on Zach McGrail’s goal.

Jake Fuss had six points in Fairfield’s 6-3 win over St. Joseph, and Mike Grace made 36 saves. The Mustangs led 2-0 after one and 5-0 after two. Jack McCormick had two goals and two assists.

Billy McKinley, Vinnie Solla, Ryan Novia and Mateen Karimi had two goals apiece in Cheshire’s 10-1 win over Milford. Novia added two assists and McKinley one.

Newington beat Fermi/Enfield 4-3 to earn longtime coach Dave Harackiewicz his 300th career victory. Nic David scored twice, including the game-winner.

Division Three

Zack Bloom made 26 saves, and Ryan Johnson had two assists as Staples/Weston/Shelton defeated Westhill/Stamford 3-2. Sebastian Zeman, Sam New and Jesse Greenspun scored goals for the Wreckers, with New’s breaking a 1-1 tie in the third period. Nick Rich had a goal and an assist for the Stamford co-op.

Shane Conciatore’s 29 saves paced New Fairfield/Immaculate to a 2-1 win over Masuk. Christian Benzing and Tim Manning scored for the Rebel Mustangs.

Ryan Black had five goals and two assists as Woodstock Academy beat Hall/Southington 7-3 to avenge an early-season loss. Nate DeLuca added five assists for the Centaurs.

Paul Wheatley had a hat trick in Wethersfield/Middletown/Rocky Hill’s 6-1 win over Newtown.
