* East Catholic defeated West Haven/Sacred Heart in a first round game, 1-0, avenging a loss in last year’s quarterfinal round. Mary McKiernan‘s third period strike was the only goal that ETB needed.
* In Suffield’s 4-0 first round win over Notre Dame-Fairfield, Michaela Birmingham led the way with a hat trick.
* Jordan Hopping‘s two goals and assist powered Avon to a 5-2 win over Fairfield in another first round contest.
