Connecticut Girls HS Hockey: FCIAC, CCC Announce Pairings For Post-Season League Tournaments

Both the Fairfield County Ice Hockey Conference (FCIAC) and the Central Connecticut Conference (CCC) has announced schedules for their league post-season tournaments. The FCIAC tournament begins Monday, while the CCC tournament will commence on Monday, March 22.

Quarterfinals – Monday, March 15th

#8 seed Ridgefield vs #1 seed Darien, 6pm  – at Darien

#7 seed Fairfield Co-op vs #2 seed New Canaan, 8:15pm – at Darien

#6 seed Stamford/Westhill/Staples vs #3 seed Trumbull/St. Joseph, 3:15pm – at Shelton

#5 seed Wilton/Norwalk vs #4 seed Greenwich, 5:30pm – at Hamill Rink

Semifinals – Thursday, March 18th

Final  – Saturday, March 20th

CCC

Quarterfinals – Monday, March 22nd

#6 seed Northwest Catholic/Mercy vs #3 seed Suffield, TBA – at Enfield Twin Rinks

#5 seed Hall/Conard vs #4 seed East Catholic/Glastonbury, 7:40pm  – at Newington

Semifinals – Wednesday, March 24th

Northwest Catholic/Mercy – Suffield winner  vs #2 seed Avon,  4:25pm  –  at Newington

Hall/Conard-East Catholic/Glastonbury winner vs  #1 seed Simsbury, 4:10pm  –  at ISCC

Final/Consolation Games  –  Friday, March 26th

  • The Southern Connecticut Conference will also hold a post-season league tournament that is expected to start on March 20th, with semifinals slated for Tuesday, March 23 and a final on Thursday, March 25th.

A former sportswriter and news editor at the Woburn (MA) Daily Times Chronicle, he has been the HNIB News' key reporter for Mens Prep School hockey since 1988, as well as womens hockey, both at the prep school and high school levels. for almost 20 years. Gary also helps organize and oversee HNIB's many summer tournaments and festivals for scholastic players.
